I am convinced that Namibia offers the best value in the hunting world today. While many other African countries are plagued with problems, the hunting in Namibia only gets better. When I first hunted there in the early 1980's, a fifty inch kudu was considered a very good one. This season two of my clients took true sixty inch bulls and on another hunt three hunters took three over fifty five. Gemsbok of thirty six are the norm and forty very doable.

Namibia is politically stable, the people friendly, the population low and the prices right - that makes it a win win situation in my book!

Savannah Safaris
BRYAN & MAGGIE CONNOCK

Situated in central Namibia, 50 miles north east of the capital of Windhoek, the home hunting area covers one half million acres. Terrain varies from open plains and thorn savanna to rocky hills, mountains and desert. This is free range hunting - no high fences. Main camp is located in a rocky valley in the heart of the hunting area. In suite tents provide atmosphere and as well as comfort. A deck and fire pit complete the bush ambiance.

A second hunting area is located several hours to the north in Damaraland, an area noted for fantastic Gemsbok, herds of Springbuck and elusive Mountain zebra. An area so wild and remote it is still home to Black rhino, elephant and prehistoric plants. Camp is more primitive but still plenty comfortable. The area is worth the trip even if there were not herds of game and superb trophy quality.

MAKADI SAFARIS
Dietheim & Katja Metzger

The Metzger family has owned and operated Makadi for three generations. They have excellent game management areas which has increased wildlife on their extensive holdings over the years. This is the place for an excellent family safari. It’s closeness to Windhoek - about one hour - and excellent guest house accommodations, make it a favorite for non hunting companions. Day trips to local tourist attractions as well as self guided walks are available for the non hunter. I have known Dietheim and his father Dieter Metzger for many years and rate this hunt one of the best.
